Job Description

About EAIGLE

EAIGLE is an end-to-end AI platform transforming operations in the supply chain and logistics sectors through intelligent video and sensor data. Our solutions are trusted by major logistics operators to optimize yard operations, automate vehicle access control, and enhance asset visibility, enhancing both security and operational efficiency at scale. By leveraging cutting-edge computer vision and real-time data processing, we enable enterprises to drive efficiency and resilience at scale. At EAIGLE, we’re on a mission to bring AI-powered automation to the physical world, one yard at a time.

We’re hiring across multiple levels. If you’re passionate about applied AI and ready to build systems that make an impact in the real world, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Applied Computer Vision Researcher to join our small, dynamic, and talented R&D team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to develop innovative AI-driven solutions for real-world, large-scale applications that aim to disrupt the logistics and transportation industry. This position offers access to extensive datasets, advanced in-house and cloud computing resources, and unique control over sensor selection and placement to design, train, and deploy cutting-edge AI models. In this role, you will also act as a technical reference for the team, you will mentor junior researchers, contribute to shaping the research roadmap, and have the opportunity to evolve into a technical leadership role in the future. We’re actively exploring the integration of foundational models and VLMs into our platform. We value researchers who can evaluate these models critically and translate breakthroughs into practical, scalable systems.

What you'll do

  • Research, design, and implement advanced AI technologies to improve core ML/CV algorithms and solve practical transportation and logistics challenges at scale.

  • Focus on areas such as:

  • Computer vision: object detection, classification, OCR/text recognition, camera calibration, multi-object multi-camera tracking, 3D scene modeling, and map building.

  • Deep learning techniques: self-supervised learning, transfer learning, few-shot learning, and active learning.

  • Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to deliver robust, scalable AI solutions.

  • Provide technical feedback on experiments and code reviews, ensuring high-quality outputs from the team.

  • Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering their growth and development.

  • Conduct original, publishable research and contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio.

What you need

  • Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision and machine learning.

  • Experience: At least 10 years (with a Master’s) or 5 years (with a PhD) of experience in the full ML/AI lifecycle, including model development, training, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration on generalization.

  • Proven ability to develop large-scale systems for video/image data processing in real-time, on-premise, and cloud environments.

  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

  • Strong ML/CV engineering mindset to turn prototypes and POCs into scalable and reliable processing systems.

  • Strong programming skills in Python with knowledge of software development best practices.

  • Solid understanding of software architecture, data structures, and scalable system design.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to serve as a technical reference for the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video processing, streaming, or encoding pipelines.

  • Familiarity with edge computing and low-power ML processors.

  • Technical Leadership experience in small R&D teams.

  • Experience with human-in-the-loop AI systems.

  • Experience building ML systems utilizing the Microsoft Azure cloud.

  • Experience working with foundational models and vision-language models for visual perception.

What we offer

  • A competitive compensation package, including base salary and stock options.

  • The opportunity to work in a startup environment, where your contributions directly impact the company’s growth and success.

  • Access to cutting-edge technology, tools, and datasets to drive meaningful applied research work.

  • A remote-first work environment with flexibility and autonomy.

Important Information

EAIGLE is an equal-opportunity employer dedicated to building a diverse workforce. We encourage applications from all qualified candidates and will accommodate applicants’ needs throughout the recruitment, assessment, and selection process.
