The Role

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes in accordance with JGAAP and IFRS
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports
• Coordinate with external auditors and support statutory audits and tax filings
• Monitor project-level accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and revenue recognition
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies
• Collaborate with the global finance team and cross-functional stakeholders for financial reporting and process improvements
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support implementation of accounting system enhancements and process automation

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, Nissho Boki 2+ or equivalent is a plus)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or project-based industries
• Strong knowledge of JGAAP and working familiarity with IFRS
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP) and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with audit coordination and local tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in Japanese and English
