Overview

We’re looking for a versatile and creative Multimedia Designer to join our Calgary-based marketing team. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of corporate design experience (co-op or internship experience accepted), who’s excited to work across print, digital, video, and light web. Strong visual storytelling, a collaborative spirit, and solid business instincts are key. A passion for pets is a big bonus!

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce engaging print materials including signage, flyers, handouts, and in-store collateral
• Create compelling visual content for social media, digital campaigns, and internal communication
• Shoot and edit short-form video content for digital platforms
• Build and format eblasts using email marketing tools
• Support basic website updates and content formatting using HTML
• Write and refine light copy as needed for print, social, and digital assets (e.g., headlines, taglines, post captions, call-to-actions)
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team and cross-functional partners to bring campaigns to life
• Manage multiple design projects with efficiency, meeting deadlines while maintaining brand consistency
• Contribute ideas in creative meetings and provide input on messaging, layout, and visual direction

Tools & Technology

• Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
• Video shooting and editing (DSLR or mobile; experience with Premiere Pro preferred)
• Email marketing platforms (e.g., Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp, or similar)
• Basic HTML and content management systems for web edits
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive)

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of professional multimedia or graphic design experience (co-op/internship accepted)
• Strong print production knowledge and digital design capabilities
• Excellent visual storytelling and basic copywriting skills
• Strong time and project management abilities
• A team player who is also confident working independently
• Strong communication skills with an ability to present and refine ideas based on feedback
• Business-minded and detail-oriented
• A passion for pets and pet wellness is a plus!
