YOUR ROLE

Clear client shipments and ensure merchandise is delivered. Respond to clients’ inquiries regarding customs clearance and follow up.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Preparation, customs clearance, and classification of air, ocean, and ground shipments.
• Ensure costs related to the file are indicated on the billing document.
• Ensure the delivery of merchandise.
• Comply with the laws and regulations of the different governments and the ISO standards set out by the company.
• Resource person for clients regarding customs procedures.
• Communicate with different stakeholders to offer superior service.
• Present innovative solutions to clients.
• Communicate, without delay, pertinent information and issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

• For all levels an attestation in collegiate studies or diploma in professional studies or equivalent and experience in customs clearance is required
• 3-5 years in customs clearance

Skills:  

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• Extensive excel experience with Adobe PDF knowledge is a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation an asset.

Characteristics:

• Ability to learn all aspects of the team’s work, and to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Self-starter, sense of urgency, communication.
• Customer focused.
