Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Engineer for a 4 months contract with the intention of converting to full time permanent. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week in Downtown Montreal.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer to take ownership of ensuring our web and mobile applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our product development process, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless digital experiences to our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts across web and mobile platforms to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
• Design, develop, and maintain both manual and automated test strategies.
• Conduct robust API testing using industry-standard tools.
• Ensure compatibility and functionality across multiple browsers and mobile devices.
• Participate in planning, requirements reviews, and product design sessions to champion quality from the start.
• Implement and improve testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor product quality through accessibility testing, performance analysis, and issue tracking.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.
• Practical knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress for automation.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger , or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile app testing for iOS and Android, including work with emulators and real devices.
• Familiarity with cross-browser testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs .
• Understanding of CI/CD practices with tools like Jenkins , Git , etc.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Awareness of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and related testing tools.
