Jim Pattison Developments (JPD) is the real estate division of the Jim Pattison Group of Companies (JPG). JPG is one of the largest privately held companies in Canada with total annual revenues of $15 billion across multiple industries including: automotive, advertising, media, agricultural equipment, food and beverage, entertainment, exporting, financial, real estate and distribution services.
JPD () currently owns and manages over 300 income-generating properties in North America, totaling over 19 million square feet including 48 grocery-anchored shopping centres. In Western Canada, JPD is also active in the development of new projects consisting of multi-family condo and rental residential, industrial, self-storage and retail commercial. JPD recently completed the Burrard Place mixed use development. The Burrard Place development is architecturally significant and includes Vancouver’s tallest residential tower. JPD also has plans to diversify the portfolio to include projects in other major centers across Canada.
Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Property Management, the Property Management Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring properties run efficiently and tenants remain satisfied. They assist with lease administration, coordinate maintenance and repairs, track expenses, and communicate with vendors and tenants. Additionally, they help prepare financial reports, monitor compliance with lease agreements, and support property managers in executing strategic initiatives to maximize asset value. Their work ensures the seamless operation of commercial properties, balancing administrative duties with problem-solving to keep everything running smoothly.
What you need to succeed
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in property management or a related field, with strong fundamentals and interpersonal skills. They excel at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced team environment, and possess strong organizational, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in MS, along with knowledge of Yardi property management software are valuable assets. Previous administrative experience in real estate or property management is preferred, and a strong passion for real estate and career growth within the organization is essential.
