Merovitz Potechin LLP is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our growing team.

Summary Of Position

The ideal candidate will assist lawyers with a wide variety of litigation matters.

Work Includes, But Is Not Limited To

• Opening files
• Conflict checks
• Initial contact with the client
• Scheduling meetings
• Saving documents/emails to the NetDocuments software as required
• Organizing the execution of closing documents
• Invoicing and follow up
• Reporting letters

This is a full-time permanent opportunity that offers a great work atmosphere, opportunity for growth and a challenging environment.

Required Qualifications

• 6 months of legal assistant or law clerk experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Superior interpersonal skills to interact with employees, lawyers, clients and external agencies
• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
• Professional, responsive and positive work attitude
• Ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases
• Meticulous records maintenance skills.
