HR Business Partner (Bilingual – English/French)

Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid)

Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job postings, source candidates, and manage recruitment pipelines.
  • Coordinate interviews, offers, and background checks.
  • Lead and continuously improve the bilingual onboarding experience for new hires across Canada and the U.S.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee inquiries and support across HR policies, practices, and benefits.
  • Help promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and recognition programs.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Ensure compliance with Quebec, provincial, and U.S. federal employment laws.
  • Draft and update bilingual HR policies, handbooks, and templates.

Performance & Development

  • Support the roll-out of performance review processes and goal-setting cycles.
  • Assist in training coordination and development planning.
  • Track probation and evaluation periods and flag HR interventions as needed.

Special Projects

  • Collaborate on strategic HR initiatives including IDEA, compensation reviews, benchmarking analysis, Employee Opinion Surveys and internal communication strategies.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, organizational design, and future HR tech implementations.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual : Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written) T his is essential!
  • 3+ years of experience in a generalist or HR coordinator role, ideally in a consulting, logistics, or technology environment.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. labor laws.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Dayforce ADP, or equivalent).
  • Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and remote-friendly setting.

Nice to Have

  • CHRP designation or working toward it.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based employees and cross-border HR practices.
  • Exposure to consulting or project-based environments.
