Responsibilities For Hospital Security Guard - Patrol sensitive areas, monitor for suspicious activity, and secure facilities as needed
- Assist visitors with navigation and provide first aid when required
- Monitor and support patient safety, including missing/wandering patients
- Respond to emergencies (Code White, fire alarms, missing persons, aggression, bomb threats)
- Issue keys, passes, and manage equipment inventory
- De-escalate and, when necessary, physically intervene in high-stress situations
- Conduct audits of panic alarms, CCTV systems, and fire extinguishers
- Assist with patient watch, safe walk/drive programs, and enforce parking regulations
- Write detailed incident reports while maintaining strict patient confidentiality
- Support law enforcement during serious or escalating incidents
Qualifications For Hospital Security Guard - Be authorized to work in Canada
- Saskatchean Security Guard License Certificate
- First aid certification - {an asset / required}
- Ability to stand and walk entire shift
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to emergencies
- Demonstrated professionalism with strong interpersonal skills; able to build positive relationships and maintain a respectful presence on site
- Comfortable using technology in the workplace; experience with CCTV systems is an asset
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is considered an asset
