The Villa by Nerval is a premier event venue located in East Edmonton at 9311 48 Street, offering an elegant and sophisticated setting for events of all sizes. The Villa is comprised of three distinct halls—Hall A, Hall B, and Hall C—with a combined capacity of approximately 1,300 guests. Hall A is a standalone building that can accommodate up to 800 guests, making it ideal for large-scale events. Halls B and C are two equally sized, adjacent, and partitionable spaces that together host up to 500 guests, offering flexible layouts for a variety of event formats. Whether for weddings, birthdays, private or corporate functions, concerts, or graduations, our expert team guides clients through every step of the planning process to ensure a seamless and personalized experience. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at The Villa by Nerval, located in Edmonton, AB. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, and managing staff. They will coordinate events, from planning to execution, while maintaining the elegance and sophistication of the venue. Additionally, the General Manager will handle budgeting, financial reporting, and liaising with clients and vendors to ensure a seamless experience.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
  • Experience in hospitality management, event planning, and customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and reporting
  • Ability to solve problems and handle stressful situations effectively
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
