Client Account Manager

Hybrid: Minimum of 2 days/week in-office

Location: 1 St Clair Ave E, Toronto, ON, M4T 2V7, beside St Clair Subway station

Founded in 2019, Easly is a Canadian alternative lending platform. We specialize in providing non-dilutive financing to companies that receive government tax incentive refunds. Easly exists to provide funding that suits the needs of Canada’s innovative companies: simple, predictable, flexible working capital. We partner with Canadian companies of all sizes and types, providing advances on earned Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits.

Position Summary

The Client Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the existing client portfolio, delivering exceptional customer service, and proactively identifying opportunities for additional financing. This role involves close collaboration with the New Business Sales team during the transition of new clients, ensuring a smooth handover and becoming the primary contact for these clients for any subsequent funding needs.

Ideal Candidate

  • Role: Managing and expanding existing client portfolio, delivering exceptional customer service, and identifying opportunities for additional financing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the New Business Sales team during the transition of new clients.
  • Primary Contact: Become the main point of contact for clients for any subsequent funding needs.
  • Education: University degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive account management experience in a large, complex organization; sales experience in the financial services sector preferred.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the tax credit financing industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, persuasive, resilient, sales-oriented, customer service-focused.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Salesforce, internet research, MS Office, and other relevant technologies.
  • Attributes: Highly competitive, results-oriented, self-starter, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, detail-oriented, data-driven.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management; adaptable in fast-growth environments; financial training/certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships with clients through exceptional customer service.
  • Become a trusted advisor, consulting with clients to identify and address ongoing borrowing needs.

Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Nurture a pipeline of opportunities through the sales cycle, from initial contact to close.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual renewal targets.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Track all relevant client and partner information in Salesforce, Box, etc.
  • Maintain internal pipeline and general reporting/forecasting requirements.

Product Knowledge and Compliance

  • Showcase in-depth product knowledge when interacting with clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Easly product, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow sales and application document collection processes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Occasional travel within Canada.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits

  • $100,000 base salary - up to 40% commission on top of base salary based on performance.
