A Day in the Life of a Remote Estimator Wake up, grab your coffee, and fire up your laptop - your day as a
First Onsite Estimator is about to begin!
Morning You check ClaimTrak and Xactanalysis to review new assignments from branches across the region. Your inbox has a few photo sets, moisture readings, and notes from Project Managers. You dive in, scoping out the details and sketching up
accurate Xactimate estimates that hit the mark - fast. No guesswork, just smart estimating built on your industry experience.
Midday You're in sync with Project Managers, chatting over Teams or a quick call - sharing ideas on how to sharpen up scopes or catch hidden costs. You're also checking that everything aligns with insurance requirements and client programs. Maybe you're even celebrating a win because you caught something others missed.
Afternoon You track your estimates, update job logs, and make sure no detail slips through the cracks - all while staying ahead of KPIs and SLAs. You follow up on overdue reviews, upload documentation, and keep the flow smooth so projects stay on time and on budget.

Qualifications & Experience - 2-3 years experience as a Project Manager, Estimator, or Xactimate expert from the Disaster Property Restoration or the Insurance industry is a MUST have
- Xactimate level 1/equivalent or above is a MUST have
- Knowledge of XactAnalysis & ClaimTrak considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong administration and record keeping skills.
- Basic accounting / business math skills.
- Bilingual in both French and English is a MUST have
