Job Description

Brendan Wood International (BWI) is a unique well established (50 years) investment intelligence provider to big cap public companies and to the investment industry across North America and Europe, soon adding Asia. The firm is also a seasoned investor in global equities.

We are looking for an Associate who wishes to join an entrepreneurial partnership focused on the global investment industry.

This individual will be part of the team covering stocks in the Materials Sector.

If you are an outstanding communicator with a deep interest in creative research, investing and are keen to build relationships, this may be an ideal long-term partnership

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Liaise with large institutional investors facilitating discussions driving the Shareholder Confidence Index.
• Keeping up with public capital markets, especially with companies under BWI’s coverage universe to assist with BWI’s proprietary research process.
• Business Development: Including but not limited to cold & warm outward-bound efforts to; add to BWI’s panel (Institutional Investors and Retail Investment Advisors), and market to large corporations globally.
• Prepare investment intelligence reports for some of the largest domestic & international corporations as well as institutional investors within BWI’s client base.
• Other administrative responsibilities.

Qualification(s):

• A bachelors degree in any field of study; preferably finance, economics, accounting & marketing.
• Familiarity with the public equities.
• 0-3 years of prior work experience in a professional setting (including internships/co-op).
• Superior verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and can be adaptive to unstructured projects and timelines.
• Knowledge of general business & sales management principles.
• Familiarity working with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Full-Time, 5 Days a week in the office role. Based out of our Toronto office in Downtown Yorkville.
